Birdeye Alternative: Birdeye vs Own Your Ratings
Birdeye presents itself as “AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands”: AI agents that generate reviews, respond to them and market them across every location, alongside many other jobs. Own Your Ratings is a small app for one tradesperson or a small crew: it prepares a Google review request that you send from your own phone, and shows who clicked.
If you run many locations, Birdeye is built for that and we are not. If you are one contractor with one Google Business Profile, read on. Facts about Birdeye come from Birdeye’s own site, checked October 2, 2026.

Who should choose Birdeye
- Multi-location businesses and franchises that need every location’s reviews, ratings and responses in one dashboard.
- Teams that want AI agents to ask for reviews, reply to them and turn them into posts, with little manual work.
- Businesses that collect reviews on many sites, not just Google.
- Organizations that want reviews as one part of a larger platform and are comfortable with a quote-based contract.
Who should choose Own Your Ratings
- A single contractor or small crew with one Google Business Profile.
- Someone who wants each request to come from their own number, sent when they decide, not by an agent.
- Someone who wants a published price: Free plan (one review request a month); Pro $35/mo or $350/yr, with a free 14-day pro trial, no credit card.
- Someone who needs Google reviews only, and is happy to reply to them personally.
Automation versus your own phone
Birdeye’s approach is automation by AI agents. Own Your Ratings’s is the opposite on purpose: the app writes the request with the customer’s first name and your direct review link, opens Messages, WhatsApp or Mail on your phone, and you tap Send. You see who you asked and who clicked, and new Google reviews show up in the app.
With either tool, Google’s rules apply to you: ask all customers, not only the ones you expect to be positive, and don’t offer anything for a review (Google’s policy).

Frequently asked questions
How much does Birdeye cost?
Birdeye doesn’t publish prices. Its pricing page asks for your number of locations and contact details (Birdeye pricing, checked October 2, 2026).
Can Own Your Ratings manage several locations?
Not in one dashboard. An account is tied to one Google Business Profile. Multi-location brands are better served by a tool built for them.
Does Own Your Ratings use AI to ask for or reply to reviews?
No. The app prepares the message; you send it and you write your own replies.
